Junior Software Engineer

About the Role

This employer is a research and engineering services firm supporting government defense initiatives. They are currently seeking a Junior Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Software Developer to contribute to the development and analysis of real-time simulation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time software simulation models using C++ and FORTRAN.
• Integrate existing fire control and system-level code bases into comprehensive simulation environments.
• Develop pre- and post-processing tools using Python and MATLAB to analyze simulation data.
• Support the execution and debugging of simulations across various laboratory and test range venues.
• Track and resolve software issues, bugs, and new capability requirements.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in C++, FORTRAN, Ada, Python, or MATLAB.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active secret security clearance.
