About the Role
The BIM Intern role is an on-site internship position based in Nagpur. The intern will support project teams in creating, updating, and managing BIM models under the guidance of senior engineers and BIM specialists. This position offers hands-on exposure to industry tools and processes in a structured, mentoring-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with 3D model development.
- Extract quantities.
- Prepare drawings and documentation.
- Help with coordination between disciplines.
- Learn and apply project standards.
- Participate in internal reviews.
- Support reality capture or digital twin workflows as needed.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts.
- Interest in 3D modeling, engineering design, or digital twins.
- Familiarity with at least one CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or similar tools).
- Willingness to learn new platforms.
- Basic understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, or architectural drawings.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in model and data handling.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Capacity to take feedback, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and meet deadlines.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree or diploma program in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Interest in advanced concepts such as 4D/5D simulation, reality capture, and data integration is a plus.
- Commitment to learning, professional ethics, and adherence to quality and information security standards.
