About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Mumbai at Pets Paradise Multispeciality Private Limited.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage dispensing of medications for pets according to prescriptions.
- Ensure accurate dosage, labeling, and documentation.
- Verify prescriptions.
- Review potential drug interactions.
- Maintain inventory levels.
- Monitor expiry dates.
- Counsel pet owners on proper medication use, storage, and possible side effects.
- Provide clear, empathetic communication.
- Support regulatory compliance.
- Uphold pharmacy safety protocols.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and other team members to optimize patient care.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Pharmacy management software
- Electronic medical records
- Basic digital tools for documentation and reporting
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, dosage calculations, and prescription verification.
- Proficiency in maintaining pharmacy inventory.
- Proficiency in handling medication storage requirements.
- Proficiency in ensuring adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
- Ability to communicate clearly with veterinarians, team members, and pet owners.
- Ability to provide medication counseling in an understandable and respectful manner.
- Registered Pharmacist with a valid license.
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (D. Pharm or B. Pharm).
- Attention to detail.
- Reliability in following standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays as required.
- Commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
- Preference for experience in veterinary or clinical pharmacy.
- Prior experience in a retail, hospital, or veterinary pharmacy is an advantage.
