About the Role
The Department of Statistics and Data Science at Northwestern University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics and data science.

Requirements & Tech Stack
- A Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Preferred research areas include machine learning, modern causal inference, and other emerging topics in data science/AI.
- Exceptional candidates in any area of statistics and data science will be considered.

Salary Information
- Expected base pay range: $115,000 - $150,000 for a nine-month academic appointment.
- This range does not include summer salary and is subject to negotiation.
- The offered pay will be based on factors including experience, qualifications, departmental budget, and market pay.
