About the Role
Unventured Expeditions India is a small-group adventure and experiential travel company focused on showcasing Incredible India. The Tour Leader role is a part-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Tour Leader will guide small groups on adventure and experiential tours, ensuring travelers have a safe, engaging, and culturally rich experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead guided tours.
- Share local insights and stories.
- Coordinate logistics with tour operators.
- Manage schedules and itineraries.
- Provide attentive customer service.
- Respond to traveler needs and questions.
- Maintain high safety standards.
- Support pre-tour research and preparation.
- Assist in training new guides when needed.
- Represent Unventured’s values of responsible and authentic travel.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Guided Tours and working with Tour Operators.
- Excellent Customer Service skills with a traveler-focused mindset.
- Ability to conduct Research to prepare itineraries, local insights, and safety information.
- Experience in Training or mentoring new tour leaders or support staff.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages in Karnataka is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of Bengaluru and broader Indian culture, history, and geography.
- Proven ability to manage groups, adapt to changing situations, and make decisions under pressure.
- Availability to work part-time, including weekends and holidays as required by tour schedules.
- Background in travel, hospitality, outdoor education, or related fields is beneficial.
- Commitment to responsible travel, safety standards, and inclusive, respectful traveler interactions.
