About the Role

The Counter Sales role at AMP Electrical Supply is a full-time, on-site position located in the Greater Lexington Area. This role is responsible for assisting walk-in and call-in customers at the sales counter.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying customer needs.
• Recommending appropriate electrical products.
• Processing orders accurately.
• Quoting prices.
• Checking inventory.
• Preparing invoices.
• Coordinating with the warehouse for order fulfillment.
• Handling returns and exchanges.
• Maintaining product displays.
• Ensuring the counter area is clean and organized.
• Supporting basic merchandising activities.
• Learning and sharing product knowledge.
• Supporting training for new team members.
• Collaborating with sales and operations to ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in electrical supply, wholesale distribution, or retail counter sales is preferred but not required.
