About the Role

The Barista role at MadSign Media is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Barista will prepare and serve coffee and other beverages, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages.
• Operate coffee equipment.
• Handle food preparation for light snacks.
• Maintain a clean and organized service area.
• Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies.
• Greet guests, take orders accurately, and process payments.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service to staff, clients, and visitors.
• Collaborate with the office and hospitality teams to support internal events and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Barista skills, including coffee preparation, beverage crafting, and safe operation of coffee equipment.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Clear communication skills for taking orders, explaining menu items, and coordinating with the internal team.
• Food preparation skills for handling light snacks and following hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a fast-paced service environment.
• Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.

Prior experience in a café, hospitality, or customer-facing role is preferred.

Basic cash handling or POS system experience is an advantage.
