About the Role
Snap Finance is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer for its Applied AI team. This role is designed for recent Computer Science or Math graduates who want to develop production applications and infrastructure supporting credit decisioning, pricing, and risk systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain applications and services for Snap's lending business.
- Write clean, tested, and well-documented code.
- Learn to take a project from concept to reliable production deployment.
- Build services and infrastructure for Machine Learning and Analytics teams' models.
- Learn about building and maintaining production ML systems at scale.
- Understand business problems through stakeholder conversations.
- Practice explaining technical decisions to non-technical team members.
- Utilize coding agents and other AI-assisted development tools.
- Stay curious about new software engineering tools and share learnings.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Solid programming fundamentals in Python.
- Familiarity with SQL.
- Experience using coding agents or other AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn software engineering practices like testing, version control, and deployment.
- Exposure to ML concepts (coursework or personal projects) is a plus.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
