React Native Developer

About the Role

Mystify is an anonymous social networking platform. This is a remote internship role for a React Native Developer. The intern will help build and refine mobile features for Mystify, implementing user interfaces, integrating APIs, and ensuring smooth, responsive interactions across devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new React Native components.
• Fix bugs.
• Optimize performance.
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Experiment with features that enhance anonymity, engagement, and usability.
• Follow best practices in software development and version control.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Front-End Development and React Native skills, with the ability to build responsive, user-friendly mobile interfaces.
• JavaScript and Redux.js skills for managing application logic, state, and data flow in complex React Native applications.
• Software Development fundamentals, including understanding of algorithms, data structures, debugging, and version control (e.g., Git).
• Basic Back-End Web Development knowledge, such as working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with server-side services.
• Comfort working with design tools or specifications (e.g., Figma) and implementing pixel-consistent UI.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly in a collaborative remote environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback in code reviews.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
