Computer Aided Design Designer

About the Role

The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Designer is a freelance, project-based role based in Bengaluru. This role focuses on creating detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings for diamond and jewelry designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings for diamond and jewelry designs.
• Ensure accuracy, manufacturability, and alignment with design specifications.
• Interpret design briefs and refine concepts.
• Prepare construction drawings for manufacturing and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with design engineers, gemologists, and production teams to optimize designs for setting and manufacturing.
• Revise designs based on feedback.
• Maintain organized design files.
• Adhere to brand standards and quality requirements.
• Support timely project delivery and consistent product quality by working closely with internal stakeholders.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency with industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, or similar).
• Basic 3D visualization techniques.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Design Engineering for jewelry or product design.
• Solid abilities in Technical Drawing and Drawing, with precise visualization and representation of design concepts.
• Skills in preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings.
• Relevant experience in jewelry, product, or industrial design, preferably in diamond or fine jewelry manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances.
• Commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Jewelry Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
