About the Role
The Site Civil Engineer (Chennai) is a full-time, on-site role based in the Chennai Area. The position involves conducting detailed on-site structural assessments of residential properties, identifying issues related to seepage, dampness, and structural integrity. The engineer will interpret data from diagnostic tools, prepare structured technical reports, and communicate findings clearly to homeowners and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting detailed on-site structural assessments of residential properties.
- Identifying issues related to seepage, dampness, and structural integrity.
- Interpreting data from diagnostic tools (including thermal imaging).
- Preparing structured technical reports.
- Communicating findings clearly to homeowners and internal stakeholders.
- Planning site visits.
- Collaborating with the diagnostics team.
- Ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of all inspections and recommendations.
- Staying current with civil engineering best practices and local building regulations.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Civil Engineering Design skills.
- Practical Civil Engineering application.
- Experience as Civil Engineers with the ability to handle field assessments and structural diagnostics.
- Planning capabilities for scheduling site visits, resource allocation, and report delivery timelines.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management and related drainage considerations.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, building codes, and technical standards.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for explaining technical findings to non-technical homeowners.
- Comfort with on-site work, including regular travel and adherence to safety protocols.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as thermal imaging is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Experience in structural assessment, building pathology, or residential construction is highly beneficial.
- Professional certifications or registrations (where applicable) are an advantage.
