About the Role
As a Data Scientist at Booz Allen, you will help turn complex, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data into useful information to solve global challenges across private and public sectors. You will use analytical skills to create real-world impact, working closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and digging into data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You will work with and learn from teammates as you develop algorithms and systems, using the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn disparate data points into objective answers so clients can make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather requirements from customers.
- Develop predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources.
- Deploy natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining.
- Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis.
- Knowledge of structured and unstructured data sources.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- HS diploma or GED.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or SQL and NoSQL.
- Experience with Palantir Foundry Maven Smart System.
- Experience with distributed data or computing tools, including MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL.
- Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2.
- Experience with War Data Platform (WDP) or Advana.
- Experience with Databricks.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Master’s degree.
Compensation
- Projected compensation range: $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
