About the Role

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team in Mission Viejo, CA. This role involves performing skilled specimen collections and providing exceptional customer service.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:15 am – 4:15 pm; Rotating Saturdays may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to attend a 2-week training in California.

Qualifications

• 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist.
• Current or prior experience with Labcorp.

Additional Note: In lieu of a state license, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at the time of hire may be acceptable.
