Service Representative / Courier I

About the Role

Labcorp is seeking a Service Representative / Courier to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role involves the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports. A company vehicle is provided for route use, with an option for personal use at an additional monthly cost.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00 pm – 1:30 am. Overtime and additional hours may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Coverage for various routes within Chula Vista, San Diego, San Ysidro, Bonita, National City.
• Load all necessary supplies needed for daily pickups.
• Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily picks to your branch at the end of your shift.
• Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner.
• Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws.
• Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work directly with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Punctual with strong time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem solve customer issues.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• No experience or education required (Minimum Qualifications).
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred Qualifications).
• 6 months or more experience as a driver or medical courier (Preferred Qualifications).
• 6 months or more experience in customer service (Preferred Qualifications).

Pay Range

• $17.75 - $26.12 per hour
• Plus 2nd shift differentials
