Location: Hilton Madison Monona Terrace – Madison, WI

Schedule: Full-Time | Morning and Weekend Availability Required

Salary Estimate: $17-$19/hour based on experience

Join the Culinary team at Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, as a Cook. This role involves preparing high-quality meals for guests and team members, contributing to memorable culinary experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up equipment and ingredients prior to service
• Reading and preparing menu items quickly and accurately according to provided recipes
• Preparing food for team member meals
• Performing inventory checks on perishable items and notifying leadership of products nearing expiration
• Assisting with banquet preparation and production
• Ensuring coolers and prep areas are cleaned, organized, and properly secured at the end of each shift
• Storing food correctly, following proper labeling and rotation procedures
• Maintaining food quality and sanitation standards
• Supporting the team with additional tasks as assigned

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic experience in a kitchen setting
• Knife skills
• Sanitation knowledge
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions from the Chef
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and stations
• Understanding of the importance of food waste control
• Ability to read orders from the POS system
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
