Retail Store Management Trainee

About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Store Management Trainee to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills, gain hands-on management experience, and build a career in retail operations. You will work alongside store leadership to learn daily business operations and develop the skills to lead a successful team. You will gain experience in customer service, employee development, inventory management, store operations, and business performance across a variety of merchandise including jewelry, electronics, and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a customer-focused environment.
• Learn and support all aspects of daily store operations.
• Assist with coaching, training, and developing team members.
• Support recruiting and talent development efforts.
• Open and close the store, adhering to asset protection and cash handling procedures.
• Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and store presentation.
• Help drive store performance by supporting sales, loan, and profitability goals.
• Learn to analyze business results and support operational decision-making.
• Monitor loan and buying transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Build product knowledge across various merchandise categories.
• Complete management training and development assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Previous leadership, key-holder, supervisory, or management experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working with a variety of merchandise.
• Note: Firearms in FFL locations; certification will be provided.
• Strong customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Note: Experience with retail point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas.

Commission Information

• Store Management Trainees can earn 2-8% commission based on individual performance.
• May be eligible for additional bonus opportunities based on overall store performance.
