Entry level Data Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Data Engineer to join our team. This role is suitable for recent graduates and aspiring data professionals who have a strong foundation in SQL, Python, databases, and data processing concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and loading structured and unstructured data.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting.
• Support ETL/ELT workflows and data integration processes from multiple sources.
• Use Python for data processing, automation, and basic scripting tasks.
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Assist in implementing data quality checks, troubleshooting pipeline issues, and documenting data workflows.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL, including joins, subqueries, aggregations, and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with Python and libraries such as Pandas.
• Understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and relational databases.
• Basic understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data pipeline architecture.
• Familiarity with Git, version control, and basic Linux commands is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Academic projects, internships, or hands-on experience involving SQL, Python, databases, or data pipelines.
• Basic exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with tools such as Apache Airflow, Spark, Snowflake, Databricks, or cloud-based data services is a plus.
