About the Role

CLA is seeking an Accounting Associate for its CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) team, supporting the Manufacturing Industry. This role is based in Boston, MA, or Quincy, MA.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Service: Develops the ability to manage multiple clients, software, and charts of accounts daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Day-to-Day Transactions: Coordinates and processes accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Month-End Processing:
• Completes financial statements.
• Coordinates and completes account reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.
• Completes complex account reconciliations previously set up and supported by a Senior Associate, Assistant Controller, Controller, or CFO.
• Quarterly/Annual Processing:
• Completes sales tax returns, Form 1099s, and other forms or items as requested by clients.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Accounting and financial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• A combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
