About the Role
Strictly Restaurants, a boutique Accounting firm in Hamilton, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time Accounting Generalist for its Accounting Department. This is an in-office, full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Bank Reconciliations posting to the General Ledger Daily
- Understanding of General Ledger Accounting
- Understanding the difference between debt/credit
- Ability to prepare and review journal entries
- Maintain accurate general ledger records
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Understanding of Excel
- Understanding of Compeat
- Understanding of QuickBooks Online
- Experience with various Point of Sales Systems
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or similar tools)
Qualifications
- Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Hospitality or restaurant experience is beneficial
- Experience working with financial statements
- Solid understanding of basic finance concepts
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and recommend improvements
- Clear and professional communication skills for collaborating with managers, vendors, and team members
- High level of attention to detail, organization, and reliability in handling confidential information
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- Commute of approximately 30 minutes or less from home.
