About the Role
The Douyin Research and Development Middle Platform team is responsible for the quality construction of products like Douyin, CapCut, Toutiao, NovelToon, and Douyin Finance, providing comprehensive solutions for quality, experience, and safety. This role offers opportunities to pursue bold ideas, tackle complex challenges, and unlock growth. Successful candidates must be available for onboarding by the end of the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the development of large model evaluation technologies.
- Design and implement solutions tailored to real business scenarios to continuously improve professionalism, stability, and efficiency.
- Take charge of evaluation framework design, as well as the training, deployment, and tuning of evaluation models.
- Analyze model performance and conduct root-cause analysis of defects.
- Summarize evaluation insights to support model optimization and version iteration.
- Explore scientific, scalable evaluation methodologies and technical systems for scenarios including LLMs, multimodal understanding & generation, Agents, and world models.
- Continuously track and research cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices in the large model field.
- Implement innovative solutions in evaluation workflows.
Requirements & Tech Stack

- Experience in evaluation framework design, training and deployment of evaluation models, or delivery of evaluation systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deeply troubleshoot issues arising from large model training and application.
- Ability to independently explore viable solutions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive at work.
- Ability to collaborate smoothly with team members to explore cutting-edge AI technologies and drive technical advancement.
Qualifications
- Individuals who are completing or have recently completed a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Solid foundational knowledge in machine learning, deep learning, or natural language processing.
- Hands-on algorithm experience related to large models.
- Capable of applying algorithm capabilities to real evaluation scenarios.
Job Information
- Compensation Description (Annually): Base salary range: $128,000 - $256,000. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
- Total Package: May include discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
- Benefits: May vary by employment nature and location. Includes day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, disability coverage, life insurance, and wellbeing benefits.
