About the Role
Medical Technologists provide information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analysis with little or no supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for examination.
- Use automated equipment and specialized instrumentation.
- Perform numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately interpret results in a timely manner.
- Enable physicians to utilize data when making treatment decisions.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- BS or associate's degree in Medical Technology or in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Bachelor's degree with a certificate in Medical Technology from a nationally accredited program.
- National Registry for Medical Technology (ASCP) or equivalent or registry eligible.
- Must successfully complete or be actively pursuing registration by the end of the first year of employment.
- Must possess language, math, and reasoning skills for analysis, interpretation, and valid conclusions during data collection and scientific procedures.
- Ability to effectively present gathered data orally or in writing to management or regulatory agencies.
