About the Role

The Inoventry Executive role at bigbasket is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and updating inventory records.
• Ensuring accurate stock levels.
• Monitoring product movement across warehouse and store locations.
• Conducting regular stock checks.
• Reconciling physical inventory with system data.
• Coordinating with procurement and operations teams to address discrepancies.
• Supporting timely replenishment of items.
• Tracking fast-moving and slow-moving products.
• Assisting in planning promotions or markdowns.
• Maintaining clear documentation to support audits and reporting.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Continuous process improvement to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in using inventory management software, ERP systems, and basic MS Office tools (Excel, Word) for reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• Strong inventory management, stock reconciliation, and data entry skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and handle large volumes of data.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify discrepancies, trends in stock movement, and opportunities to improve inventory processes.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with warehouse, procurement, operations, and finance teams.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and a structured approach to documentation, audits, and compliance with internal controls.
• Ability to work on-site in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area, including flexibility for shift work or extended hours during peak periods, if required.
• Prior experience in retail, e-commerce, FMCG, or warehouse operations is preferred; experience with fast-paced, high-volume environments is an advantage.
