Job Title: Facility Worker

Location: Carlstadt, NJ

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week

Start Time: 6:00 AM

Pay: Starting at $16.60 per hour (plus overtime after 40 hours)

Position Summary

Seeking a dependable Facilities Worker to support the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of our warehouse and facility. This role is crucial for maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain warehouse aisles and product slots.
• Safely pull product from slots using a pallet jack and clean slots using appropriate cleaning supplies and an electric floor scrubber.
• Assist with inventory checks and product replenishment when necessary during slot cleaning.
• Respond to warehouse spill calls and promptly clean spills, damaged product, broken cases, pallets, and debris.
• Clean warehouse racking and individual product slots as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors in restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other facility areas.
• Clean restroom fixtures and maintain adequate supplies of paper towels, toilet paper, and other necessary items.
• Empty trash throughout the warehouse, office, and facility.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor trash and disposal areas.
• Clean and maintain exterior warehouse entrances and surrounding grounds as needed.
• Collect and separate recyclable materials, including plastic, wood, cardboard, and other materials.
• Follow all company sanitation, cleaning, food safety, and safety procedures.
• Properly read and follow labels and instructions for cleaning products and hazardous materials.
• Safely operate assigned custodial and warehouse equipment after appropriate training.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.

Work Environment

• Primarily performed in a warehouse and facility environment.
• May be required to work in refrigerated cooler and freezer areas, including exposure to cold temperatures.
• Proper safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) are required. Steel-toed boots are required where applicable.
• May be exposed to warehouse equipment, pallets, cleaning chemicals, and other normal warehouse conditions.
• Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, approximately 40 hours per week; however, evening, night, weekend, and overtime hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or food facility experience is a plus, but training is available for the right candidate.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and hardworking.
• Takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized workplace.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Responds quickly to sanitation needs.
• Understands the importance of cleanliness in a food distribution environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
