About the Role
Assistant Engineer - Bridge at McFarland Johnson, joining the growing Transportation Division in Portland, ME, Concord, and Portsmouth, NH.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with a team of professionals in developing designs for public highway structure projects.
- Create and update construction specifications and contract documents for State DOT and Municipal Projects.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- EIT preferred.
- 0-4 years of highway structure engineering analysis and design experience.
- Project experience with State DOT's preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 software (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Bentley OpenRoads Designer preferred.
- Working knowledge of AASHTO bridge design specifications is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively participate as part of a project team.
