Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Assist with patient care, including observation and documentation of patient healthcare needs.
- Communicate pertinent information to the registered nurse and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Assist with documentation and implementation of physician and nursing orders under the direction of a registered nurse preceptor.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Communicate, monitor, and record changes in patient condition.
- Actively engage and participate in transition to practice programs to develop clinical thinking and judgment for safe, competent, person-centered care.
Requirements & Tech Stack
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.)
- Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
- Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition ("Compact State") obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
OR
- Required professional licensure at time of hire.
