About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Production Supervisor role based in the Greater Chennai Area. The Production Supervisor will oversee daily shop-floor activities, ensuring that production plans are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate production schedules.
• Allocate resources.
• Monitor equipment performance.
• Resolve operational issues in real time.
• Lead and coach production teams.
• Conduct shift briefings.
• Enforce safety and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to support continuous improvement, minimize downtime, and achieve production targets.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Supervisory Skills: Experience leading and motivating production teams on the shop floor.
• Production Schedules and Production Planning: Including capacity planning, shift planning, and workflow coordination.
• Production Management Skills: Ability to track performance metrics, manage resources, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Communication Skills: Enabling clear instructions, timely feedback, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial operations, preferably in tire or automotive-related production.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, shift-based environment and make sound decisions under time constraints.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
