About the Role

The Project Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, supporting end-to-end coordination of custom manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Tracking project timelines.
• Updating internal systems.
• Assisting in communication between customers, design teams, and production units.
• Preparing basic documentation.
• Organizing project files.
• Supporting the monitoring of manufacturing progress against customer expectations.
• Scheduling.
• Follow-ups with suppliers and logistics partners.
• Supporting quality and delivery teams to ensure accurate and timely dispatch of completed parts.
• Proactive problem-solving.
• Attention to detail.
• Consistent on-site collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong project coordination and organizational skills, including experience in task tracking, scheduling, and follow-up.
• Proficiency in basic documentation, data entry, and use of office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with manufacturing, design, logistics, and customer support teams.
• Ability to understand technical information at a basic level, with exposure to manufacturing or engineering environments preferred.
• Detail-oriented approach with problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Comfort with using online portals or ERP systems; willingness to learn new digital tools related to project management.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or a related field is an advantage.
• Prior experience in project support, operations, or manufacturing coordination in an industrial or digital manufacturing setting is beneficial.
