About the Role

The Software Engineer Intern role is a full-time position based in Pune City with a hybrid work model. The intern will assist in designing, developing, and testing software components that support Omnisys’s IT and database solutions, working closely with senior engineers and technical leads. This internship is designed to provide practical experience in real-world projects and exposure to modern infrastructure and AI-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software components.
• Write and review code for back-end web services.
• Implement object-oriented designs.
• Debug issues.
• Contribute to documentation and version control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Learn best practices in software development and deployment.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
• Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or similar).
• Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them in code design.
• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic software development workflows.
• Ability to work collaboratively, communicate clearly, and manage time effectively.
• Interest in IT infrastructure, databases, and AI compute technologies.
• Prior project or internship experience is an advantage.
