About the Role

SD Dey is an independent professional writer and content creator based in Kolkata, collaborating with content creators, YouTube channels, and small businesses on a variety of writing projects. This is an internship role with a hybrid work arrangement, primarily based in Kolkata but with some tasks completed from home. The position offers practical experience in freelance writing and exposure to client-focused communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Support in planning, drafting, and revising written content for diverse projects.
• Draft content for blog posts, articles, social media captions, and short creative pieces.
• Conduct basic research.
• Outline content.
• Write clear and engaging copy.
• Revise drafts based on feedback.
• Assist with proofreading and formatting documents.
• Meet agreed deadlines for deliverables.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Fade In & Final Draft familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational writing skills, including clear sentence structure and grammar.
• Ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences.
• Ability to research topics online and organize information logically.
• Ability to incorporate reliable sources into written work.
• Attention to detail for proofreading and basic editing.
• Interest in digital content creation (e.g., blog posts, social media copy).
• Willingness to learn platform-specific best practices.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments, follow instructions, and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setup in Kolkata.
• Openness to in-person meetings and remote collaboration.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with Bengali or Hindi is an advantage but not required.
• Current students or recent graduates in fields such as English, Journalism, Communications, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
