About the Role
IBM Cloud platform offers comprehensive cloud solutions, tools, and services including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS) delivered through public, private, and hybrid cloud models. IBM Cloud is designed for seamless integration, security, scalability, and flexibility, providing customized enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and automate infrastructure solutions supporting IBM Cloud products.
- Build and set up test automation and pipeline frameworks in OpenShift and/or Kubernetes environments.
- Administer automated CI/CD systems and tools for development and test teams.
- Support the compliance and security integrity of the environment.
- Partner with teams to develop alerting and monitoring for mission-critical services.
- Support development of new and enhancement of existing compute infrastructure services.
- Provide technical escalation support for Infrastructure Operations teams.
- Research and learn new cloud-related technology products and services.
- Design and implement quick cloud-based prototypes.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Operating Systems: Ubuntu (Preferred), RHEL, CentOS Linux, Windows Servers
- Virtualization Technologies: Citrix Hypervisor (Preferred), VMware vSphere, Ubuntu KVM
- Programming Languages/Tools: Java, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Go
- Infrastructure Tools: Active Directory, Ansible, Chef
- Container Technologies: Kubernetes (preferred), Docker
- Monitoring Technologies: Zabbix (preferred), Splunk
- Other Technologies: Network and Storage technologies
- Collaboration Tools: ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related majors.
- Prior (project or internship) experience in development, computer hardware, or testing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for technology and engineering.
