Quality Executive

About the Role

The Quality Executive will support day-to-day quality control activities to ensure that raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished biscuits meet defined quality, food safety, and company standards. The role involves inspection, sampling, laboratory testing, process monitoring, documentation, and compliance with FSSAI, GMP, GHP, HACCP, and applicable food safety requirements. Freshers with relevant educational qualifications and a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify incoming raw materials as per approved specifications.
• Inspect packaging materials including printed film, cartons, labels, and other packing materials.
• Collect samples as per approved sampling procedures and conduct routine quality testing.
• Monitor in-process quality parameters throughout biscuit manufacturing.
• Check parameters such as dough consistency, baking temperature/time, moisture, weight, dimensions, colour, appearance, texture, and crispness.
• Monitor cream quantity, wherever applicable, and packaging/seal integrity.
• Verify coding, labelling, and other packaging requirements.
• Conduct finished product inspection and testing as per approved specifications.
• Assist in proper identification and segregation of OK / HOLD / REJECT materials.
• Maintain retention samples and laboratory testing records.
• Assist in laboratory testing and ensure proper handling and cleaning of QC instruments.
• Report abnormal or out-of-specification results immediately to the QC In-Charge.
• Monitor GMP, GHP, personal hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety practices.
• Assist in HACCP/CCP monitoring and ensure required records are maintained.
• Report process deviations and quality non-conformities to the QC In-Charge.
• Assist in NCR, RCA, and CAPA activities wherever required.
• Maintain QC reports, checklists, inspection records, test reports, and other quality documentation.
• Support internal, customer, FSSAI, and food safety audits.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Packing, Dispatch, and other departments on quality-related matters.
