AI Agent Development Engineer

About the Role

The AI Agent Development Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India. This position involves designing, developing, and deploying AI agents and related systems to support automated workflows, intelligent decision-making, and enhanced user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and test agent architectures.
• Integrate APIs and data sources.
• Optimize performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Maintain documentation.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Ensure AI solutions follow ethical, secure, and scalable development practices.
• Continuously learn and experiment with new AI tools and frameworks.
• Proactively improve existing agent capabilities.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Java).
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and version control systems such as Git.
• Solid knowledge of AI, machine learning, or LLM-based systems.
• Experience with agent frameworks, prompt engineering, model integration, and working with cloud-based AI services.
• Skills in data handling and system integration, including working with structured and unstructured data, designing data pipelines, and connecting AI agents to databases, third-party tools, and enterprise platforms.
• Capabilities in testing, debugging, and optimization, including writing unit and integration tests, monitoring system performance, and improving reliability, latency, and scalability.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with modern development workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working on production-grade AI applications, conversational agents, or automation systems is beneficial.
• Demonstrated interest in staying current with advances in AI and software engineering practices is beneficial.
