About the Role
The MEP Engineer will oversee the design, coordination, and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for industrial, residential, and commercial projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing drawings
- Preparing MEP designs
- Performing load and capacity calculations
- Ensuring compliance with local codes and standards
- Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, site teams, and contractors to resolve technical issues, optimize building services, and support project timelines and budgets
- Conducting site inspections
- Monitoring installations
- Addressing safety and quality concerns
- Participating in commissioning and handover activities
Requirements & Tech Stack
- CAD or BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) for MEP design and documentation
- Familiarity with applicable building codes, standards, and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and Building Services, with the ability to integrate these disciplines effectively
- Proficiency in MEP coordination, including reviewing and aligning architectural, structural, and services drawings and resolving clashes
- Practical experience in Plumbing design and installation, including water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems
- Foundational skills in Electrical Engineering for building projects, including power distribution, lighting, and safety systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering field
- Relevant professional certifications are an advantage
- Experience working on industrial parks, residential developments, or commercial buildings, preferably within real estate or construction sectors
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site and within multidisciplinary teams
