Data Analyst intern

About the Role

ELCARREIRA TECHNOLOGIES is an early-stage AI product development startup focused on improving student employability through data-driven insights. The company is building a Market Intelligence Platform that helps users to assess their readiness for the job market and identify essential skills.

This internship Data Analyst role is a hybrid position based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for some work from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with large datasets related to job postings, skills, and academic subjects.
• Clean, organize, and transform data for analysis.
• Perform exploratory data analysis.
• Generate statistical summaries.
• Create data models to support product features and recommendations.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate data findings into actionable insights, dashboards, and reports.
• Communicate analytical outcomes in clear formats to support decision-making and continuous improvement of the employability platform.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and collaborate within a startup team.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and foundational knowledge of data analytics techniques.
• Understanding of statistics, including descriptive and inferential methods relevant to data analysis.
• Experience or coursework in data modeling and working with structured datasets.
• Effective communication skills for explaining data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in AI-driven products, education technology, and improving student employability is a plus.
