Software Automation Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Software Automation Engineer role based in Pune City.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to validate complex, data-intensive software solutions.
• Collaborate closely with development and product teams to understand requirements, define test strategies, and ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of investigative analytics platforms.
• Create and execute automation test cases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results and identify defects.
• Work with peers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation tools, processes, and best practices to support high-quality releases in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong skills in test automation development, including experience with test frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, or similar).
• Skills in software quality assurance, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of complex, distributed systems.
• Skills in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including working with tools such as Jenkins, Git, and build automation systems.
• Skills in working with APIs and data-driven applications, including RESTful services, JSON/XML handling, and database validation using SQL or NoSQL.
• Skills in debugging, problem-solving, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience in an automation or software testing role.
• Beneficial qualifications include familiarity with AI, analytics, or security-focused products; experience in large-scale, mission-critical systems; and strong communication and documentation skills.
