About the Role
As part of the Political Intelligence (PI) team, you will analyze Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape at the grassroots level. You will conduct original research and analysis on political, social, and economic developments to generate actionable insights for electoral strategy and decision-making for a national political party. The role requires confidentiality, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and adherence to documentation protocols and deadlines. A sound understanding of Andhra Pradesh’s regional dynamics, local issues, political developments, and socio-cultural landscape is valuable.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor key political, social, and economic developments across Andhra Pradesh, maintaining a broader understanding of state and national politics.
- Conduct primary research via phone calls with influencers, focus group discussions, interviews, and field interactions.
- Undertake secondary research to prepare detailed reports on Andhra Pradesh and its constituencies, covering electoral trends, current political scenarios, local issues, and leadership dynamics.
- Analyze constituency-level political dynamics, voter concerns, regional issues, and grassroots feedback to generate actionable insights.
- Utilize AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) for qualitative research, information synthesis, data analysis, insight generation, and research workflows.
- Develop structured, data-backed, client-ready presentations communicating research findings and strategic insights.
- Interface with client-side stakeholders and local representatives while adhering to protocols and maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Strong in data analysis, logical reasoning, and reading comprehension.
- Structured thinking and ability to logically structure documents and communicate insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of politics and India’s democracy.
- Good knowledge/proficiency in using AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) for research and workflow improvement.
- Ability to design and develop clear, structured, client-ready decks/presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure timely delivery within a team.
- Strong proficiency in Telugu and English.
Desirable Skills
- Proficiency in Hindi.
- Understanding of your native place of residence’s political landscape.
- Exposure to fast-paced and dynamic environments.
- Prior experience in political research, public policy, consulting, journalism, or related fields.
- Familiarity with the state’s electoral landscape, voter concerns, grassroots networks, and local socio-economic challenges.
- Proficiency in additional regional languages or dialects relevant to the assigned region.
