About the Role

The Retail Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, supporting day-to-day store operations for Iyarkai Pazhamuthir Nilayam, a retail business focused on fresh produce and daily essentials.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers by greeting, guiding, and answering product-related questions.
• Promote products to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Ensure a clean and organized sales area and maintain well-organized displays.
• Manage stock levels.
• Handle basic billing or checkout activities as needed.
• Contribute to overall customer satisfaction and collaborate with the store team to meet sales goals.
• Follow store policies and maintain high service standards.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Retail Sales skills and the ability to meet daily and weekly sales targets.
• Solid Product Knowledge to explain features, benefits, and uses of items accurately.
• Focus on Customer Satisfaction and a commitment to creating a positive shopping experience.
• Effective Communication skills to interact clearly and respectfully with customers and colleagues.
• Excellent Customer Service skills, including patience, active listening, and problem-solving.
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash or POS systems are beneficial.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail or grocery environments is an advantage.
• Motivated entry-level candidates are welcome.
