Janitor

About the Role

Magna is seeking a Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining both plant and office areas while supporting facility safety and housekeeping standards.

• Starting Pay: $20.70/hr + $2.00/hr C-Shift Premium
• Shift: C Shift
• Schedule:
• Friday-Saturday: 5:15 AM - 3:45 PM
• Sunday-Monday: 5:15 PM - 3:45 AM
• Some Overtime May Be Required
• Location: Liberty, MO

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain production areas, offices, break areas, and restrooms
• Sweep, mop, disinfect, and sanitize work areas
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility
• Operate a floor scrubber daily
• Clean plant equipment as needed
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies
• Respond to spills and other workplace hazards using the appropriate cleaning equipment
• Properly handle and dispose of contaminated waste according to established safety procedures
• Maintain janitorial supplies and equipment in clean, working condition
• Follow required PPE, safety, housekeeping, and environmental procedures

Qualifications

• No previous janitorial experience required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to operate a floor scrubber or willingness to learn
• Ability to understand and follow written instructions
• Ability to work effectively with others
• Dependable and able to maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the facility

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
• Ability to bend, lift, and kneel
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work in a general factory and office environment
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed
