About the Role

Be part of something new in our 1,000,000 square-foot automated distribution center. The Container Store is a leading retailer of storage and organization products. This role offers full-time hours with competitive hourly rates in a fast-paced environment.

Shift

• Sunday-Wednesday, 5pm-3:30am

Key Responsibilities

• Replenishment and Putaway Specialist:

• Responsible for timely and accurately relocating inventory from the Receiving dock to open-air reserve locations or active pick locations.

• Utilize a manual pallet jack and operate multiple pieces of warehouse powered equipment (walkie rider, stock chaser, stand up forklift, order picker, and/or reach truck) to perform putaway tasks in multi-level pick modules.

• Utilize handheld devices to receive replenishment and putaway tasks.

• Ability to maneuver equipment, navigate aisles, and use the lift mechanism to reach high racks.

• Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Ability to consistently meet time-based productivity standards.

• Comfortable working in multi-level picking modules and around conveyor systems.

• Maintain a safe work area, adhering to safety policies and procedures.

• Support and work in other departments throughout the Distribution Center.

• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

• Maintain inventory accuracy throughout the Distribution Center.

• Store Replenishment Specialist:

• Responsible for picking, loading, and securing product on trucks for store replenishment.

• Maintain accuracy while pulling, packing, and loading product.

• Utilize voice picking to accurately fulfill customer or store replenishment orders.

• Understand all areas of the outbound process, including Direct to Customer (e-commerce) and Store Replenishment.

• Receive, inspect, process, and accept merchandise into the Distribution Center.

• Check in freight and ensure accuracy of products received.

• Stow product throughout the Distribution Center ensuring accuracy.

• Operate motorized and non-motorized equipment (certification required).

• Consistently meet all Labor Management and productivity standards.

• Maintain a clean and safe Distribution Center, adhering to safety policies and procedures.

• Train and support other departments throughout the Distribution Center as needed.

• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

• Arrive promptly to work the assigned schedule.

• Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Warehouse powered equipment: walkie rider, stock chaser, stand up forklift, order picker, reach truck, manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack.
• Devices: handheld devices, radio communication.
• Systems: warehouse management system, radio frequency devices, voice picking.
• Environment: non-climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• For Replenishment and Putaway: Experience operating a Reach Truck and Order Picker (Cherry Picker).
• For Store Replenishment: Experience operating a Walkie Rider or Electric Pallet Jack.
• Versatility within the department, encompassing various tasks such as utilizing equipment and performing duties by foot.
• Possesses strong communication skills and proficiency in utilizing radio communication.
• Experience working in a highly automated distribution environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of various distribution systems such as warehouse management system, radio frequency devices and voice picking is preferred.
• Arrives on time and is prepared to begin work at the scheduled shift time and committed to working scheduled hours with flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs.
• Makes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process information.
• Ability to work within and exemplify The Container Store brand principles.
• Ability to lift up to 47 pounds independently.
• Associates will be standing 100% of the time and walking approximately 50% of the time.
