2027 Summer Games, Systems Engineer Intern

The Opportunity

The Summer Games is an innovative internship program designed to attract top students and foster the development of breakthrough ideas for complex customer challenges. Interns will gain valuable technical skills in a competitive, collaborative environment that simulates a real-world startup accelerator. Teams will work on distinct challenge projects, receive mentorship from senior leaders, and leverage Booz Allen's products and engagement models. The program culminates in a final Challenge Cup competition and presentation to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop breakthrough ideas or solutions for pressing, complex, and multidimensional customer problems.
• Solve problems using Booz Allen’s products and unique engagement models.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Present final challenge project and results to senior leadership.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience with programming languages, including .NET, C++, JavaScript, Java, or Python in a professional, academic, or internship work environment.
• Knowledge of software development best practices.
• Ability to learn new programming languages and frameworks.
• Ability to work in groups.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in a Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field by Summer 2028 or Summer 2029.

Nice to Have

• Ability to produce technical documentation and create design artifacts.
• Possession of excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Clearance

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Work Model

• Onsite: Work will primarily be performed full-time at a customer facility, where employees will collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.

Compensation

• The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD).
