About the Role
The Team Lead Piping role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role involves leading the piping design and layout for process plants, coordinating with mechanical, civil, and process engineers, and ensuring that piping systems meet technical, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and creating piping drawings and 3D models.
- Supervising the work of piping designers and engineers.
- Resolving design issues in collaboration with project teams.
- Managing workload and priorities.
- Supporting project planning and scheduling.
- Participating in design reviews.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to the piping team.
- Coordinating with vendors, construction teams, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Hands-on skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for piping and plant layout.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards for piping systems and industrial safety.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and related engineering principles.
- Experience in Engineering Management and Team Leadership for design or project teams.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and progress tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in process plant piping design, preferably in food, feed, biofuels, or similar industries.
- Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and work in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
