Junior Buyer, Technology & AI Sourcing

About the Role

Join AXA XL's procurement team and build hands-on experience in technology sourcing. In this role, you will support end-to-end supplier identification, evaluation and selection while collaborating with colleagues across Legal, Risk, Information Security, and Data Privacy. You will prepare RFPs and RFQs, support supplier analysis and negotiations, and contribute to category performance reporting and process improvement. You will report to the Senior Category Manager – Americas.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior colleagues in the end-to-end sourcing process by identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers aligned with AXA XL procurement needs.
• Support sourcing activities, including preparing RFPs and RFQs and participating in supplier scoring and negotiations.
• Maintain relationships with key functional stakeholders, subject matter experts, Legal, Risk, Information Security, and Data Privacy teams.
• Assist with market research to support category plans and sourcing events.
• Support reporting on category performance, savings, and supplier performance for Category Managers and Category Leads.
• Learn and follow AXA XL commercial and procurement policies, processes, and ways of working.
• Assist Sustainable Procurement initiatives that promote supplier diversity, inclusion, and sustainable practices.
• Support initiatives to streamline procurement processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Stay informed about spend categories, procurement trends, regulatory changes, market dynamics, industry practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Some experience in Technology Procurement / Technology Sourcing, preferably in Software Procurement.
• Experience supporting software procurement activities.
• Basic understanding of project management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Problem-solving capability and critical thinking.
• Willingness to work in a UK-aligned shift of 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM IST.
• Willingness to learn and the ability to support complex projects and tasks.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly.
• Results-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to supporting team goals.
