About the Role
Mass General Brigham at North Shore Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Housekeeper to prevent the spread of diseases by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing areas, properly disposing of hazardous waste, and efficiently sterilizing equipment. This role does not involve direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs cleaning duties according to organizational standards, pre-established schedules, and infection control guidelines.
- Completes waste stream removal.
- Cleans and services assigned areas according to established procedures.
- Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies to maintain hospital cleanliness, orderliness, and sanitation.
- Operates assigned equipment, such as floor machines and buffers.
- Participates in a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually.
- Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Some High School Completed required.
- Experience can be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- 0-1 year of related experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
- Working knowledge of various cleaning tools like vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
