About the Role
A one-year non-ACGME clinical fellowship in Advanced Coronary and Minimally Invasive Robotic Cardiac Surgery for the 2027-2028 academic year. The program is directed by Dr. Nirav Patel.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-operative evaluation and planning for advanced coronary and minimally invasive patients.
- Operative technique in advanced coronary and minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
- Post-operative care for advanced coronary and minimally invasive patients.
- Clinical research responsibilities.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Must have completed a cardiothoracic training program by June 2027.
- Must have successfully completed an ACGME accredited Thoracic Surgery program or equivalent.
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New York by July 2027.
- Completed USMLE STEP 1 and STEP 2.
- ECFMG certified.
Qualifications
- Completed cardiothoracic training program by June 2027.
- ACGME accredited Thoracic Surgery program completion or equivalent.
- USMLE STEP 1 and STEP 2 completion.
- ECFMG certification.
- Eligible for New York State medical licensure by July 2027.
