Retail Warehouse Associate

About the Role

• We are recruiting on behalf of Ashley Furniture for a Retail Warehouse Associate in New Braunfels, TX.
• In this role, you will manage warehouse receipts, assemble furniture for showroom and customer orders, assist with customer vehicle loading, and maintain accurate inventory logs.

Key Responsibilities (Fulfillment & Staging)

• Safely receive, unload, store, move, and stage home furnishings throughout the retail fulfillment warehouse.
• Operate powered equipment including order pickers, forklifts, dollies, and pallet jacks adhering to safety guidelines.
• Inspect, assemble, and detail merchandise to ensure that each item meets Ashley's high standards of quality.
• Perform minor furniture touch-ups, repairs, and repackaging to guarantee customer-ready delivery.
• Conduct cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and digital barcode scanning to maintain inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities (Guest Delivery & Logistics)

• Load customer purchases carefully into vehicles and organize staging bays for home delivery drivers.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at pickup desks, representing the Ashley brand with professionalism.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and backroom storage facility.
• Accurately complete and file receiving manifests, warehouse logs, and facility checklists.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Physical capability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull furniture weighing up to 100 lbs during shifts.
• Prior warehouse, equipment operation, or furniture assembly experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong attention to detail regarding inventory accuracy, product condition, and proper documentation.
• Customer-focused attitude with friendly, professional communication skills.
• Strict commitment to warehouse safety protocols, equipment inspections, and maintaining a hazard-free work area.
