About the Role
This is an opportunity for an Over the Road driver looking to transition to local runs, offering the chance to be home after every shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Transporting empty and clean trailers to customer and/or drop yard locations.
- Transporting loaded trailers to the yard to allow drivers to drop-and-hook from the yard rather than the customer location.
- Completing pre-trip & post-trip inspections on trucks & trailers.
- Cleaning truck daily after use.
- Cross-training to tank wash responsibilities may be required during downtime.
- Performing related work as required.
Schedule & Environment
- Overnight availability required.
- Schedule: 5pm - 5am on a 4-on-4-off rotating schedule.
- Working Environment: Both indoor and outdoor with exposure to varying weather conditions and chemical odors.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- CDL is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to being hired.
- Trucks are automatic transmissions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of OTR experience with a 53-ft trailer, required within the last two years.
- Alternatively, 6 months of running a day cab, required within the last 6 months.
- Must have a strong work history.
- Must have great customer service skills.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends required.
