About the Role
The Civil Designer / EIT role at HDR involves assisting senior engineers with various project phases, from site studies and design to contract documentation and administrative duties. This position offers the opportunity to work on both independent small projects and contribute to larger endeavors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation, and graphic presentation.
- Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage design.
- Undertake routine engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures.
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
- Handle administrative duties related to project management for civil/site projects.
- Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering field.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil3D.
- Experience with 3D modeling.
- Experience with plan production.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate. (Candidates hired without their EIT will hold the title of "Civil Designer" and are expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.)
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
