About the Role

Changepond Technologies is hiring Electrical and Mechanical Engineering freshers and experienced candidates for their dynamic team in Chennai.

Mechanical Fresher (0 - 2 years)

• Eligibility: B.E / B. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with an aggregate of >60% across 10th, 12th, and Diploma/B.E/B.Tech exams.
• Applicants with less than 60% in any academic stage are not eligible.
• Only graduates passed out from 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 are eligible.
• Non-relevant streams (Aeronautical, ECE, CSE, IT, etc.) are not eligible.
• Requirements:
• Tool knowledge on Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD.
• Preparation to work with AutoCAD/Solidworks software.
• A tool test will be conducted after the Technical Aptitude Exam.
• Preference: Candidates with production or fabrication experience.

Mechanical Design Engineer (2 - 5 years)

• Responsibilities:
• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using 3D modelling software.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Requirements & Tech Stack:
• Proficient in using PDM/PLM platforms.
• Skilled in using 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD.
• Familiar with ISO and ASME standards for mechanical design and documentation.
• Knowledge of weldments, sheet metal design, mining processes and equipment, and structural fabrication techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Note: Experience beyond CREO is required; applicants with only CREO experience will not be considered.

Electrical Fresher (0 - 2 years)

• Eligibility: B.E / B. Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering with an aggregate of >60% across 10th, 12th, and Diploma/B.E/B.Tech exams.
• Applicants with less than 60% in any academic stage are not eligible.
• Only graduates passed out from 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 are eligible.
• Non-relevant streams (Aeronautical, ECE, CSE, IT, etc.) are not eligible.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of basic electrical concepts and theories, including Transformers, Circuit Theory, Switchgear, and Control & Protection panels.
• AutoCAD familiarity is a plus.
• Process: Candidates will undergo a Technical Aptitude Test followed by a technical discussion.

Electrical Design Engineer (1 - 3 years)

• Experience & Exposure:
• 1 - 3 years of experience in SWGR & MCC design.
• Electrical design and drafting using AutoCAD.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Erection, Testing & Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance of Medium Voltage (6.6kV to 33kV) equipment such as HT panels, Transformers, and HT Motors.
• Responsibilities:
• Project documentation and layout preparation.
