About the Role
The Owner role at D-boy is a part-time, on-site position based in Chennai.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily operations related to food delivery, courier services, and bike taxi activities.
- Ensuring schedules, routes, and assignments run smoothly.
- Managing driver coordination.
- Handling customer inquiries or concerns.
- Monitoring service quality and safety standards.
- Tracking basic finances, such as payments and expenses.
- Maintaining relationships with partners, vendors, and clients.
- Maintaining necessary documentation.
- Ensuring vehicles and equipment are in usable condition.
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and grow the business.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage daily operations, including scheduling, basic planning, and coordination of delivery and bike taxi services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with drivers, customers, and business partners.
- Basic administrative and financial skills, such as record keeping, handling payments, and tracking expenses.
- Knowledge of local Chennai routes and traffic conditions, with a focus on safety and timely service.
- Ability to work on-site and be physically present to oversee operations and resolve day-to-day issues.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or delivery services is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Comfort with using mobile apps and simple digital tools for order management, navigation, and communication.
- High level of reliability, integrity, and customer-focused mindset.
