About the Role
At Snooplay, we're building a 60-min delivery app for everything kids and babies need. This role sits at the intersection of category building, product sourcing, and brand partnerships. You will identify promising brands, curate products with strong sales potential, pitch Snooplay as a sales channel, and build partnerships that help create a relevant, exciting, and differentiated assortment. You'll own the partnership journey end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Discover brands and products: Build a strong pipeline of brands, manufacturers, distributors, and vendors across toys, games, baby gear, kids' fashion, baby care, and other relevant categories.
- Build brand partnerships: Pitch Snooplay as a sales channel and establish partnerships that help brands reach new customers and grow their business.
- Own commercial negotiations: Negotiate margins, pricing, payment terms, return policies, and other commercial conditions.
- Drive sourcing and procurement: Identify products worth bringing onto Snooplay through Sale or Return (SOR) arrangements as well as outright purchases.
- Curate a winning assortment: Evaluate vendor portfolios and identify products with strong sales potential, attractive margins, and relevance to customers.
- Build categories from the ground up: Identify gaps in our assortment, emerging trends, promising new brands, and evolving customer needs.
- Own the onboarding journey: Take partnerships from initial outreach and pitching through commercial negotiations, agreement finalisation, documentation, and coordination with internal teams.
- Explore strategic brand collaborations: Identify opportunities for co-branded products, exclusive collections, special launches, and private-label development.
- Build long-term relationships: Develop strong relationships with brand founders, manufacturers, and distributors.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine interest in brands, consumer products, kids' products, and emerging market trends.
- A strong product instinct – the ability to recognize products that customers would want and that can perform well commercially.
- Excellent communication and pitching skills, with the confidence to engage brand founders, manufacturers, and business owners.
- Ownership and follow-through – the ability to take a prospective partnership from the first conversation to a signed agreement and successful onboarding.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to build a consistent pipeline of prospective brands.
- An organized, proactive approach with the ability to work independently and identify opportunities.
Prior experience in category management, merchandising, sourcing, vendor management, or brand partnerships is a plus, but not essential. We're looking for someone with the right combination of product instinct, commercial thinking, and relationship-building ability.
